Samsung launches monthly security updates for Android

Samsung launches its promised monthly update program for Android. Samsung wants to use the website to inform its users quickly and regularly which security gaps exist and which security updates are already under development. On the website there is also the opportunity to report any security vulnerabilities found in Samsung. Some patches that were made during the year, such as fixing the Stagefright vulnerability, are already listed there.
Even which smartphone models and tablets will benefit immediately from the monthly updates Samsung calls already. The supported models of the Samsung Galaxy S series are the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy S5. In the Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Note 5 and Note Edge are supplied with updates. The Samsung tablets Galaxy Tab S2 and Tab S are also supplied with updates. Samsung plans to add more devices to the list in the future.
